Planmeca Romexis® Medical

Planmeca Romexis® Medical is a comprehensive software for viewing, processing and storing volumetric images for the Planmed Verity® CT scanner. Romexis Medical comes with full DICOM connectivity – images can be sent directly from Planmed Verity as volumetric data sets to any desktop PC or Mac. The images can also be automatically DICOM-stored to the PACS archive and, upon return visits, immediately retrieved to the Romexis Medical software.

Flexible collaboration

As Romexis is a networked software platform, all images are available on different workstations immediately. This is especially important when you want to allow your team to quickly access data to ensure the best possible treatments. When accountability is needed, it is good to know that security is also far from an afterthought for us – it is possible to require every action in the software to be authorized and logged.

Adapts to various needs

Romexis is built around three components: a client, a server and a database. This architecture makes the software extremely scalable, and it can flexibly adapt to the needs of clinics of any size, such as the following examples.

Single Workstation

In the simplest single workstation installation, all 3 components are deployed on one computer in one install process.

Recommended single system setup:

Small office with multiple workstations

For small offices, one client workstation can take the role of a server by having the server and database installed on it. No special hardware or software is required.

Large office with multiple workstations and a dedicated server

For large offices, the server and database can be installed on a dedicated server computer – allowing a more robust setup.

Enterprise

For large sites, the server and database can be installed separately on a customer’s server and database farms. Standard IT processes in use can be relied on for monitoring, backups and continuity. The IT department will have a central role in specifying the hardware and assisting in deployment of the software. NOTE: A commercial version of MS SQL Server is required.

Planmeca Romexis® Viewer

Planmeca Romexis® Viewer is a free full-featured desktop application for viewing Planmed Verity images. The viewer can be exported and sent together with images from the Romexis Medical software to your referring doctors or home with the client.

Planmeca Romexis Viewer is a flexible way to help specialists and patients examine clinical images. The desktop viewer application is essentially a lightweight version of Romexis and allows those not using the software to view 3D images captured with Planmed Verity on their own computers. The viewer application is available for both PC and Mac and does not need to be installed to be used.
